New identity system for Serena & Lily, a San Francisco based furniture company.
A solid wordmark, both classic and modern serves as the primary logo. More letters were created to add to divisions such as "Bazaar".
In addition to the logo mark, a monogram was created.
Another character was needed, to act as an extra flourish for the brand. The California Quail (being the state bird) seemed right, due to the company's strong ties to Northern CA as well as the artistic nature of the bird. We worked with British illustrator, Peter Nencini who used his unique hand to bring the textiles and patterns of S&L to the quail, and later a camel.
